Easy Cookie Recipes Make for Fun in the Kitchen

Admit it: You love cookies. I love cookies too, and I'm not ashamed to
admit it. I mean look – they're tasty, sweet bites of perfection, when
they're made right – and that makes for a wonderful meal-ender. If you're
like me, then time is at a premium, and you don't have a whole lot of it
to spare on recreational things like baking cookies. That's why I'm
always on the lookout for easy cookie recipes…in particular, quick easy
cookie recipes!

Another reason I look for easy cookie recipes is that I have a 2
½-year-old son who loves to cook and bake, whether in his own little
pretend kitchen (which has an oven, a stove, a sink, and a refrigerator)
or for real with Mommy and Daddy. He stands on his stepstool and proudly
wears his monkey apron to help measure, pour, mix, and whatever else we'll
let him do. One of the funniest things is that when he's cooking in his

Not too long ago, I found myself searching for some easy sugar cookie
recipes, thinking they would be a refreshing change from the usual
chocolate chip cookies that we make. Not that there is anything at all
wrong with chocolate chip cookies – we all love them at my house – but I
figured it would be a good idea to introduce my son to the wider world of

Even though this Traditional Rolled Sugar Cookies might look like it's
complicated, it really does fall into what I would consider an "easy sugar

the fridge, then roll it, cut it, and bake it. Of course, the most fun
part of making these is the decorating, and since my little guy loves his
art projects, we'll go with the edible paint.

In my quest for easy cookie recipes, I've also found some that don't even
require baking. They do require some stovetop time, but even that is
minimal. Now that summer seems to finally be here, this no-bake thing
seems like a pretty good idea. Plus, these seem to be super easy cookie
recipes, with most of them having the same basic ingredients. My son will
still get to help "cook," naturally, even though there isn't a whole lot
of cooking involved. He is an excellent mixer, and maybe I'll let him
help spoon the cookies onto the cookie sheets. That should be
interesting! Messy, but interesting. I sometimes think that the messier
he gets, the better day he has had! He is a lot like Adrian Monk (of TV
show fame), so I'm sure he'll want to wash his hands at the first possible
interlude. That's OK – I think my younger son is heading to be the
opposite, so at least I'll have one clean kid!

How to Make Old Fashion Potato Casseroles for Side Dishes, Pitch-ins, Church Socials, Etc

Who doesn't love potatoes and who doesn't love casseroles? Here are
recipes that combine the two for wonderful side dishes, dishes for
pitch-in meals, reunions, church socials, office lunches, etc. Choose
from Cheesy Baked Potato Salad Casserole or Three Cheese Potato Bake which
includes Swiss, Sharp Cheddar, and Parmesan cheeses.

BAKED POTATO SALAD CASSEROLE

This is an old church cookbook recipe.

8 to 10 potatoes
1 large onion
8-oz Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 jar Imitation bacon bits
1 cup salad dressing (mayo style)
1 cup milk
slices of Velveeta cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Boil potatoes in enough salted water to cover. Boil for 10 minutes; peel
potatoes and dice. In a large bowl, mix together the chopped onion,
Cheddar cheese, 1/2 of the imitation bacon bits, the salad dressing and
milk. Add potatoes to the mixture and fold in. Butter a 13 x 9-inch baking
pan and pour potato mixture into the pan. Top with the Velveeta cheese and
sprinkle the remaining bacon bits over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for
about an hour.

TRIPLE CHEESE POTATO BAKE

This is a recipe from an old magazine clipping.

2 cans (10 3/4 0z ea) cream of chicken soup
8 oz sour cream
1/2 tsp pepper
1 pkg (30 to 32 oz) frozen hashed brown potatoes
3/4 cup sliced green onions
1 jar (2 oz) diced pimentos
3/4 cup shredded Sharp Cheddar cheese
3/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 13x9-inch baking dish and set aside.

Combine soup, sour cream, and pepper in a large bowl; blend well. Stir in
potatoes, onions, pimentos, Cheddar and Swiss cheeses. Spoon mixture into
the prepared baking dish. Spread out into an even layer and sprinkle
Parmesan cheese over the top. Bake, uncovered approximately 1 hour or
until bubbly and golden brown.

Reincarnation Dreams

The woman in Mrs. G's dream tried to make people understand that she 'just
knew things,' and that was all. When they wouldn't listen, she called them
fools. Then the people lit the fire. It was horrible to the dreamer
because she knew that she was innocent, she knew she was trying to get
through to them. 'I felt the heat of the fire and knew her anguish one
last time, that they were wrong and someday they would know it'" (Holzer
147).

2. "Richard U. of New York State in 1970 dreamt of a very strange scene.
In the dream he was astride a horse on a beach, waiting for a ship. There
was a group of men with him, dressed in what he later realized was armor
like that worn by the crusaders. The water seemed very blue and crystal
clear.

The following day he mentioned this dream to two close friends. It then
developed that both had dreamt of being on an old ship. They were dressed
in flowing robes, heading for an island, and they, too, had been impressed
with the crystal clear blue water" (Holzer 151-152).

3. "Mrs. Georgia G. has always felt that she once lived in the Old West,
that is, in another lifetime. Right now, she lives in Iowa. Is in her
early thirties, married for the second time, and the mother of two
children. Her background is English and German, as it is with many of the
people in her part of the Middle West.

The first dream which made her wonder about having lived before happened
to her rather unexpectedly. The scene showed a beautiful summer day, and
it was either noon or very early afternoon since the sun was shining
overhead. She saw a town square with one side bordered by a huge, long
stone wall; the center of the town square seemed shaded. There were two
padres standing there looking down on a young woman who was kneeling
before them. Georgia could not see their faces since they were in the
shaded area, but the woman seemed to be around thirty years old and had on
drab, dark clothes. There was a crowd of people at the end of the wall in
the distance, cowering away from the middle of the square where these
three figures were. The woman, speaking in English, said, 'I beg of you,
have mercy on me.' She was pleading with the two priests but they only
watched her in stony silence. All at once Georgia knew she was that woman!
She looked at the crowd in the distance but could see they didn't want to
get mixed up in the affair, whatever it was" (Holzer 152-153).

In the first dream, was it possible that Karen used to be a witch but was
reincarnated into a normal person? In the second dream, could it have been
possible that three men were crusaders at some point and gathered together
as men on horses, just seeing the situation from a different point of
view? In the third dream could Georgia have had been that woman begging
for the priest for mercy? These are just some questions to play with with
when dealing with those example reincarnation dreams.

Reincarnations dreams give us hint or clues that there can be a
possibility of a previous lifetime. Sometimes dreams can be shared with
someone else such as the dream took place as an event in the past, and
there were other people that one can recall from that event that have also
been reincarnated into earth the same time they were. It is rare that
these people will meet up, but on some occasions they do.

to gather some items from chests in the water. Engineering can be a tough
profession as some recipes require many various items so this can be time
consuming and taxing to locate but its still good fun nonetheless. Try
turning someone into a chicken or shrinking them with a ray and you will
see what I mean.

As some of the items you make can only be used by other engineers then
your target market for selling these items will be small and every now and
then it will feel as though you are spending more than you are making but
hang in there.

Remember to speed up leveling as an engineer it is much faster to just

Holiday Cranberry Party Punch Recipes

How To Make Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

During the cold winter months, I like to make a lot of homemade soups and
stews for my family. This recipe was given to me by my best friend 10
years ago and it was her grandmother's recipe.

Since my family only consists of 4 family members, I will make the recipe
and we will eat half of the soup for dinner that night. I will freeze the
other half in a freezer container for a future meal. If you are freezing
any of the soup, make sure you leave a 1/2" head space in your freezer
container to allow for expansion during the freezing process. The soup
will keep for up to 9 months in your freezer.

Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
6 cups tap water
3 beef bouillon cubes
2 cups carrots, sliced
1 1/2 cups onions, coarsely chopped
1 1/2 cups celery, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1/3 cup barley
1 teaspoon table salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 bay leaves
1/4 cup catsup
28 ounce can crushed tomatoes with juice
8 ounce can tomato sauce

Note: You can substitute the beef bouillon cubes with 3 teaspoons of
instant beef bouillon if desired.

In a large frying pan, brown your lean ground beef until it's no longer
pink. Drain the grease and set aside. In a large 5 quart stock pot,
combine all of the above ingredients together in the order that they are
given in the recipe. Bring soup to a full boil and then reduce heat and
simmer for approximately 60-70 minutes. (or until the vegetables are
tender.) Remove bay leaves before serving.

This recipe will yield approximately 10 servings.

* 6 large tart apples, (Granny Smith preferred)
* 1 ts lemon juice (fresh is better)
* 1/4 c bacon drippings
* 1/4 c brown sugar; packed firm
* 1/8 ts salt
* 1/8 ts nutmeg
* 1 ts cinnamon

Instructions:

Peel and core the apples. Slice apples into eighths. In a large non-stick
skillet, render bacon drippings. Place the apples evenly over the bottom
of the skillet. Sprinkle with lemon juice, brown sugar, and salt (in that
order). Cover skillet and cook over low heat for 15 minutes, or until
apples become tender and juicy. Uncover skillet, then sprinkle with
cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir mixture well. Simmer for a few minutes until the
pan juices begin to thicken. Serve hot!

Sky TV Embraces Circular Polarized 3D Glasses To Deliver Next Genertation 3D

At the end of last year, BSkyB demoed what could well be a big part of the
way forward for sports broadcasting : the transmission of sporting events
in 3D, employing a piar of circular polarized 3d glasses.

The system, which is at present being developed, uses a standard Sky+ box
to decode the 2 separate photographs wanted to create the 3-D effect.

and at a quality level that makes it engaging to start to take a look at

Blizzard Entertainment has build Azeroth as a vast world. It's huge with
so many area to explore and making the game more exciting since you always
find some new places for an adventure. Although you need to explore a vast
world, it's easy, even for newbie, to understand the game. In World of
Warcraft, you need to choose whether you're going to play as the Alliance
or the Horde. The Alliance is fast, agile but weak in physical strength.
The Horde is powerful, physically strong but slow. Choose wisely the
character that suits you. There's no evil or good side here. You get to
decide if you're going to be an evil or good character.

World of Warcraft gave you the ability to create and design your own
character. You can also customize their clothing, weapon, armor, etc. You
have 9 different classes to choose for your character. Example, you can
choose your character to be a hunter, mage, rogue, shaman or warrior. Each
class have their own unique ability, strength and skills. Choose and use
it wisely as it can be very helpful when you play the game. It seems
rather bit confusing for newbie, choosing character and then choosing
class, but I assure you, it's not as hard as it sound.

Playing MMORPG is mostly about exploring new places. World of Warcraft is
no different. In your adventure in the world of Azeroth, you'll be
fighting monsters or other players. Sometimes to progress and get to the
next level, you need to fight monsters or savage creatures. Every level
you need to play in this game has their own unique area for exploration.
Besides fighting, you're objective is also to collect gold which is the
ultimate currency in Azeroth. With gold, you can buy new, better and
stronger armor or weapon. Collect as many gold as you can to help you
progress and get the good stuff in this game. Along the way you'll also
find items in your exploration. You can use the items for your character
or sell them for gold.

Blizzard Entertainment has successfully develop an easy to master control
for World of Warcraft. Its system is sensible and really maximized the use
of mouse and keyboard. Someone who is new to MMORPG will easily master
WoW's control. WoW also provide player with in-game camera. With the
camera, player able to look at the surrounding and then make a good use of
the environment.

Thrilling Skateboarding Amusement Park Rides

There are many places out there where you can find skateboarding amusement
park rides. You are in for a great adventure with them as well. Even if
you don't skateboard you should give them a try. They are great fun for
the entire family. The one downside that I have noticed are the lines
though. When you get to the amusement park head to them first so that you
won't end up having to wait as long.

In Denver Colorado at Elitch Gardens there is the Half Pipe. This is a fun
ride that looks like a giant skateboard. There are people strapped in a
circle at two different points on the skateboard. As it moves rapidly from
side to side and upwards, the people will be spinning. The feeling that
you get when you are coming back down is like floating on air. Many people
that get off this ride head right back to the line to ride it again!

At many of the Six Flags locations including Arlington and San Antonio in
Texas you will find the Tony Hawk ride. As a person that loves roller
coasters I can tell you that this is one of the best of them. It adds new
elements that go beyond a traditional roller coaster. If you haven't
ridden one of them then you are definitely missing out. Make sure you take
the time to go there when you are in Texas as it is something you will
never forget.

Instead of getting into a seat for one or two people, you get into a type
of cart. There is room for four people, two on each side and facing each
other. Then the roller coaster takes off and moves very fast through flips
and turns. What is so unique though is that at the same time this top
portion is spinning in various directions. So you never know if you are
going to see the turn or loop ahead or be going into it backwards. Each
time you ride it, you get a new experience.

The Tug and Turn is a concept that is in the works right now as well. The
designer is getting lots of interest in it so it is hard to tell where
these particular skateboarding rides will end up. You may have to look
online to keep up on what is being developed and where they are going to
be in place. This should prove to be a very exciting design though that is
going to raise the bar for this type of thrill ride.

You can be sure there will be more skateboarding thrill rides added out
there as well. They seem to be a huge hit. They help bring some new people
to the skating element as well. It is fun to see people of all ages
enjoying these rides. Many of them get off and have a new appreciation for
the thrill of this particular sport as well.

The response that these particular skateboarding thrill rides have gotten
are encouraging designers to come up with more of them. They always want
to offer new designs that are faster and more of a thrill for people.
These types of attractions can generate lots of sales for theme parks as
well. With the economy right now they need to do all they can to get
